Photo Booth Tips

4 great tips to help when shopping for a photo booth

A photo booth is by far the best favor you can give to your guests at your wedding reception. However, not all photo booths are created equal. Here are 4 great tips that can help when shopping around for a photo booth.

Tip 1 – Find out if they are using a real camera or a webcam. A real camera will help ensure that your pictures are bright and clear, while a webcam's pictures are usually dark and blurry. A real camera also allows for the booth operator to adjust the zoom so that you can fit small or large groups into the booth. This is not easily done using a webcam

Tip 2 – Ask if they are using a dye sublimation printer or an inkjet printer. Dye sub printers are going to give you the best print quality and can last up to 100 plus years. (This is the same type of printer you will find at a photo lab when you take your pictures in to get developed.) Normal household inkjet printers cannot compete; they are much slower, will fade very quickly, and will not last nearly as long.

Tip 3 - Check out the template design options. Many companies will tell you that they will provide custom graphics or artwork for your photo booth template, but their idea of a great graphic design and your idea of a great graphic design, may not be the same. Tip 4 - Ask for a sample. This is the best tip I can give you. Have them mail you a sample printed from their booth that was taken at one of their events. This will give you something to compare when deciding which company to hire. People don’t throw out pictures, so you will want to make sure it looks great! This is something that will end up on your guest’s refrigerator at home.
